Kevin Gallagher, Executive Director
Kevin Gallagher is the Executive Director of the Cannabis Business Alliance and Director of Compliance and Government Affairs at Craft Concentrates, a manufacturer of high-quality marijuana concentrate products. In his role at Craft, Kevin works with the MED and elected officials to help them pass and implement sensible legislation for the regulation of the cannabis industry. He is responsible for advising owners and management of specific interpretations of state and city regulation as it relates to daily operations and future business development at Craft. Kevin is also on the Metrc User Group and MED Labeling Focus Group committee that meets directly with the MED. Prior to joining Craft, Kevin held several positions working in all license types within the medical and retail cannabis industry. Kevin is a graduate of the University of Northern Colorado where he earned a BA in Political Science and a BA in Philosophy.
Peggy Moore, Board President
Peggy Moore is the Board President of the Cannabis Business Alliance and the owner of Love’s Oven, LLC, a fully licensed medical and retail marijuana infused products bakery located in Denver, CO. She has been the Chair of the Board of the Cannabis Business Alliance since January of 2016 and the owner of Love’s Oven bakery since November of 2011. In May of 2014 Peggy retired from her position as a Director of Operations at UnitedHealth Group where she led post-merger/acquisition operational integration projects for the past 15 years and managed in call and customer service operations for the first 17 years of her career. Prior to that time she worked for Allstate Insurance as well as a law firm in her hometown of Washington, IL. In addition to enthusiastically leading the Love’s Oven team, Peggy enjoys traveling, bicycle rides and spending as much time as possible with her husband, Mike and the children, Joshua, Walter and Nick. She is also blessed to have a beautiful granddaughter born in 2012 to Joshua and his wife Judy. She currently resides in southwest Littleton, Colorado.
Nancy Whiteman, Board Chair
Nancy Whiteman is the Board Chair of the Cannabis Business Alliance and co-founder and co-owner of Wana Brands, which produces Wana Edibles, Wana Extracts, and Wana Medicinals. Nancy is responsible for partnerships and licensing agreements domestically and internationally. She is also responsible for the strategic vision of Wana Brands and has been instrumental in Wana Brands’ growth into new and emerging markets. Prior to founding Wana, Nancy was a principal with The Whiteman Group, a sales and marketing consultancy, and previously held a range of senior level marketing and business development positions including Vice President, Marketing and New Corporate Ventures for the Paul Revere Insurance Group in Massachusetts.
Nancy holds a Bachelor of Science from Cornell University and an MBA from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. Nancy is a member of the National Cannabis Industry Association, and Colorado Leads, which promotes an environment of sensible regulation that creates certainty and sustainability for all companies that have benefited from legalization of medical and adult use marijuana. Nancy was named the fourth most important woman in Cannabis in 2016 by Cannabis Business Executive.
Established in 2010, Wana Brands is ranked 2016’s No. 1 edibles producer in sales revenues in the highly competitive Colorado market according to BDS Analytics. Wana Brands produces 20,000 units a week in its 30,000 sq. ft. Colorado facility, servicing more than 450 of Colorado’s 500+ dispensaries. Wana Brands is also available in over 160 dispensaries in Oregon. The company launched in Nevada at the end of 2016, and has a partnership in Illinois that will bring Wana Brands products to that state in 2017. Additionally, Wana Brands has deals in the works in four new emerging markets. Wana Brands best selling products include Wana Sour Gummies, Jewels and WanaCapsXR.
